Our family loves the Haba Marble set!  I bought it for my son when he was 3-and-a-half but he was too young to play with it on his own.  We still enjoyed playing with it together, but it is much nicer now that he is older (4-and-a-half) and can play with it on his own. 

Quality:  The quality of this set, like all Haba products, is superb!  The blocks are beautifully sanded, heavy, and fit to together perfectly to make a variety of marble tracks for your child.

Learning: This toy looks simple, but there is much to be learned when your child plays with it.  They have to use their imagination to begin building the track.  As they build their track they are using their small motor skills to place the blocks in an arrangement where they do not fall over and guide the ball where they want it to go.  While it looks simple to set up, the reality is that once your child runs the marble down the run, they will realize that they need to make some changes to their design to make it more efficient, so those problem-solving skills kick in.

The Haba Marble Set is something that I will keep around for years so that hopefully, one day, my grandchildren can play with this toy.  It is a true heirloom toy!
