I have been using the Bugaboo Frog Stroller for the past two years with my son and I am now using it with my daughter. After two kids, and two years, I finally made the decision that this is not a stroller I would buy again. Here are the reasons why:

  • No foot break. The handle break is very annoying to use, never feels like it really locks the wheels that securely, and can snap back and hurt you if you unlock it wrong.
  • Two-part fold up. It is really annoying to have to get into and out of a car, and when you are using the bassinet it really takes up a lot of car space.
  • Front wheels clog up in snow/slush. Using the stroller on slush is impossible, the slush gets stuck in the part above the front wheels and they freeze.
  • Not long enough. The Frog says it is for up to age 4, but my son is 2 and within the normal range for growth and he is already too big for it.
  • The under-stroller storage of the Bugaboo is a pain to access and fold up.
  • Not travel friendly. I had to buy another stroller to take with us to Europe because it was cheaper than the travel bag for the bugaboo and the bugaboo was too hard to pack up and check at the gate if I did buy the travel bag. Not to mention if anything happened to it, I would be out $700.

I can say a few good things about the bugaboo:

  • The handle bar that goes front-to-back and back-to-front is handy
  • It turns on a dime
  • You look good pushing it (I once had someone stop their car and say "wow, is that a bugaboo?)
  • Easy to push with one hand
  • It is very light
