Baby Bjorn Review

 Baby Bjorn Carrier

Recommended

I really like this carrier.  I used it with my son until he was 9 months old and grew out of it, and now I am using it for my daughter.  It takes a little bit of practice to get on and off, but after you get the hang of it, you will be able to do it in your sleep.  I have tried other infant slings, but this one is far superior for a few reasons:

  • Straps are adjustable.  After you have a baby you are loosing weight, so if you buy a sized sling, it may fit you for the first month, but then it will be too big by 6 months when you have lost most of your baby weight.
  • Baby is very secure.  The Baby Bjorn has straps, clips, and loops exactly where they should be to keep your baby in place.  You baby feels safe, and you feel safe having her in there.  Slings just can't compare.  When you walk with your baby in a sling, there is always the feeling that your baby will fall out.
  • It is the only way to grocery shop with two kids – the older child goes in the front of the grocery cart, while you carry the younger child in the Baby Bjorn.

The only downside to the Baby Bjorn is that when you are traveling it is bulky.  It does not rollup compactly.
